Prestige Guide
Prestige is Tycoon Cards' long-term progression system. Reset your money and businesses in exchange for permanent multipliers — and keep every card you've collected.
What Prestige Does
When you prestige:
- Reset: money, businesses, click level.
- Keep: all cards and their levels, all prestige points, casino stats.
- Gain: prestige points based on lifetime earnings.
Each prestige point grants +2% to all income permanently. Points stack additively — 10 points = +20% income.
The Prestige Formula
Points gained on reset:

When to Prestige
Two common rules of thumb:
- The doubling test. If it takes more than about 10 minutes to double your current per-second income, prestige.
- The minimum gain rule. Don't prestige for fewer than 2–3 points. Smaller gains don't meaningfully accelerate your next run.
Prestige Strategies
- Level cost-reduction cards first. They make your next run cheaper across the board, so you accelerate faster after each reset.
- Chase "all income" cards. These scale multiplicatively with prestige points, making them increasingly valuable with each reset.
- Avoid greed. Waiting too long for one more point wastes more time than it saves. The square-root curve heavily punishes delay.
- Farm packs between prestiges. Cards persist through prestige, so maxing out your collection early pays compounding dividends on every future run.
Common Mistakes
- Never prestiging. You leave permanent multipliers on the table.
- Prestiging too early. Gaining only 1 point isn't worth the reset cost.
- Holding money. Money above the prestige threshold earns no additional points until you hit the next square milestone.
