About Tycoon Cards

Tycoon Cards is an original browser-based idle clicker game developed and published independently from Australia. We built it to be the kind of game we wanted to play ourselves: free, fair, polished, and respectful of the player's time.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: create genuinely free browser games that are fun to play, well-engineered, and never funded by intrusive advertising or pay-to-win mechanics. We believe idle games deserve the same craft and attention as premium titles.

Every decision we make โ€” from game balance to page load speed to privacy practices โ€” is measured against a single question: does this make the game better for the player?

Why Tycoon Cards Exists

Idle and incremental games have become one of the most beloved genres in browser gaming. Titles like Cookie Clicker and Universal Paperclips proved that simple loops can produce extraordinary depth.

But many modern clicker games fall into one of two traps: they are either shallow clones with no strategic depth, or they are monetised aggressively with energy timers and premium currencies. We wanted to build something in the middle โ€” a game with meaningful progression systems that is genuinely free and never punishes the player for not spending money.

Tycoon Cards adds a collectible-card layer to the traditional idle clicker formula. Cards provide permanent bonuses, duplicates level them up, and the prestige system rewards long-term play. The result is a game with enough strategic depth to keep players engaged for months, without requiring daily logins or grinding to progress.

Development Philosophy

  • Player-first design. Every feature is designed around player enjoyment, not monetisation.
  • Performance matters. We target excellent Core Web Vitals and fast load times. A game should never feel sluggish.
  • Privacy by default. The game stores progress locally in your browser. We do not require accounts or collect personal data.
  • Mobile-first. More than half of our players are on phones. Every interface is tested across devices.
  • Honest communication. Our guides, patch notes and roadmap are written clearly โ€” no marketing fluff or keyword stuffing.

Editorial Standards

The content on this site โ€” guides, patch notes, strategy articles โ€” is produced by the same team that develops the game. We know the mechanics, the maths and the intended balance because we wrote the code. That means our guides are authoritative by definition.

We update articles whenever the game changes. Each page displays a last-reviewed date. See our Editorial Policy for the full review process.
